SBT abandona pacote da Warner e Globo negocia

Trunfo do SBT durante 14 anos, os cobiçados filmes e desenhos da Warner Bros. ficarão soltinhos no mercado de TV aberta. Silvio Santos não renovará o contrato, que vence no dia 28, com a produtora americana.

Os executivos da Warner já estão negociando o seu pacote de filmes e atrações com outras emissoras brasileiras, entre elas a Globo, uma das maiores interessadas.

Entre os entraves para a renovação do acordo estão o preço alto do pacote e a baixa audiência dos filmes. A Warner quer R$ 40 milhões anuais pelo seu conteúdo.

O acordo entre Warner e SBT começou em 1999, e dele nasceram as três principais sessões de filmes da emissora. Entre os títulos importantes do pacote está a sequência de Harry Potter.

Mas o SBT sempre aproveitou muito bem outros produtos da Warner, como as séries, que loteiam a madrugada da emissora. Entre elas estão “The O.C.”, “Supernatural” e “Two and a Half Men”.

Os infantis da emissora serão prejudicados pelo término do acordo, pois dele saem os clássicos desenhos dos personagens Looney Tunes, como Pernalonga. Também são da Warner a série “Scooby-Doo” e os mais moderninhos, que reinam na TV paga, como “Ben 10”.

Procurado, o SBT não comentou o assunto.
