Concorrente do Ibope quer entrar no país em novembro

Pode ser assinado em outubro o contrato entre as emissoras SBT, Record, Band e RedeTV! com o GfK, instituto que oferecerá um novo aferidor de audiência em televisão no Brasil, fazendo frente ao Ibope.

A Folha apurou que o CEO do grupo alemão GfK, Matthias Hartmann, virá ao país para uma reunião final com os dirigentes desses canais. A ideia é selar o acordo com os novos clientes, para se estabelecer no Brasil já em novembro. O GfK pretende ter os índices iniciais de sua pesquisa de audiência no primeiro semestre de 2014.

O instituto promete uma amostragem de audiência de TV maior, mais rápida e mais barata que a do Ibope.
As quatro emissoras já chegaram a um denominador comum com relação ao preço que será pago aos alemães e ao rateio do mesmo, mas ainda negociam termos jurídicos e técnicos do contrato.

A Globo, que chegou a fazer alguns contatos com o instituto, não demonstrou ainda estar interessada em uma nova pesquisa de audiência.
Para o presidente do Ibope, Carlos Montenegro, o incentivo para a chegada de um outro instituto é uma espécie de pressão das emissoras que vivem em pé de guerra com a atual medição de audiência. Ele acredita que os números do novo instituto serão similares aos do Ibope.
