Não é à toa que a Globo está investindo pesado no novo “Vídeo Show”. A faixa vespertina da emissora é a que mais perdeu audiência nos últimos dez anos.

Na última década, a rede viu se esvair quase metade de seu público do meio-dia às 18h na Grande São Paulo.

Em 2003, a média de audiência da emissora à tarde era de 19,3 pontos.

Em 2010, a média do horário caiu para 13,9 pontos de audiência. Em 2013, na média acumulada até o dia 8 de outubro, a faixa vespertina da Globo está com 11,3 pontos de ibope. Cada ponto equivale a 62 mil domicílios na Grande São Paulo.

Com pequenas mudanças de horário, a programação na faixa da tarde da emissora praticamente não mudou nos últimos dez anos. O sanduíche “Vídeo Show”, “Vale a Pena Ver de Novo” e “Sessão da Tarde” segue no ar, mas não por muito tempo.

Além de uma mudança radical no “Vídeo Show’, que a partir de novembro ganhará plateia e Zeca Camargo no comando, a emissora estuda tirar a “Sessão Tarde” do ar.

Há pesquisas que mostram que a TV paga e a internet esvaziaram o interesse do público por filmes mais velhinhos na TV aberta.

Um outro horário de reprises de novelas e uma atração ao vivo são cotados para ocupar a faixa horária.
