Há quatro anos longe da TV aberta, Denise Fraga está de volta. Ela protagonizará ao lado de Tony Ramos a série “A Mulher do Prefeito”, prevista para estrear em outubro na Globo.

Desde a série “Norma”, em 2009, Denise não fazia nada na emissora carioca.

Coprodução do canal aberto com a O2 Filmes, a trama trará Tony Ramos na pele de Reinaldo Rangel, prefeito de Pitanguá, cidade fictícia do interior do país.

Denise interpreta Aurora, esposa de Reinaldo, mulher pacata, adestradora de cães, dona de casa e vice-prefeita sem qualquer envolvimento com a política.

Ela terá uma mudança radical na vida ao ter de assumir a administração da cidade quando o marido for deposto do cargo. Reinaldo é acusado de desvio de verba para a construção de um estádio de futebol, grande aposta de sua administração.

Mas Aurora, que nada entende de política, vai acabar surpreendendo a cidade com as suas soluções criativas.

Baseada em uma ideia original de Maurício Arruda, “A Mulher do Prefeito” terá 12 episódios e já começou a ser gravada em locações no interior de São Paulo. A Globo pretende exibir a série as sextas-feiras à noite.

A direção de núcleo é Maurício Farias e a direção geral, de Luiz Villaça.
