Em 2011, Walcyr Carrasco atacou Myriam Rios em seu blog após a atriz e deputada estadual pelo PDT relacionar a homossexualidade com pedofilia, durante seu discurso em uma reunião no plenário da Assembleia Legislativa do Rio de Janeiro (Alerj). No texto, o autor chamou Myrian de “burra” e “medíocre”.

O projeto conhecido como “cura gay” precisa ser aprovado por outras duas comissões antes de ser votado em plenário da Câmara.
